Maybe I should just try, but I then it crosses my mind, what in the world would I write about? In today's society there are so many many things that are negative and bring you down, maybe something happy and cherry, maybe something insightful or Dare I say POLITICAL? and in that VERY moment it hits me...
Tell Me Something Good...... I was listening to my favorite Radio station this morning and they begin a segment talking about how Ryan Seacrest has asked them if they minded if he used the station's "Tell Me Something Good" Segment, he was inspired by it, and he wanted to use it, they loved it and absolutely wanted him to do that as well. What a perfect intro to my Blog!
So here is goes, Tell me something good, share your stories and comments below! Please I want to hear more about the good in your life!
Sunday's are wonderful days to me, they always have been, from the time I was a small child I can remember Sunday's being a very special day. Dinners with my family, at one Grandparents house or another, cousins running around everyone laughing and having fun, and of course the birthday cake for whoever's birthday within our family that week, (I have a LARGE family.)
For quite some time now I have been gathering with some near & dear friends of mine on a regular Sunday basis, Sunday Funday we call it. During the summer it is the beach and in the winter it is one of our homes for an afternoon of chatting, cooking & eating. It is getting colder now and and Christmas is coming so last night we decided to cram into one of our vehicles and go look at Christmas lights with the youngest child in our group.
In the truck we cram, (literally) and off the the Harbor we head to see the Crab Pot Christmas Tree, and yes I said Crab Pot, insert picture to the right! Great Job to Smitty at the Cape Charles Harbor.
But the point of the story is as follows, as we were driving around and we slowed to allow our young sweetheart in the back seat a good look at the lights It hit me like a ton of bricks just how lucky I am and just how much I love Sunday's. It felt like family to me, I missed my own children like no tomorrow in that moment. But my thoughts traveled to how lucky I was to have these moments and the people to call my family and friends. That is what we need more of in this world, My World.
Could I rant on over my random thought of the protest's happening around our country currently over the Ferguson & Garner cases, or the bomb of the Operation in Yemen to free the hostages, I most definitely could. But personally I am so tired of it, I don't watch the news often because of how many people theoretically die in the first few minutes of the news cast. Now don't think I walk around in the a bubble of positivity, I most certainly don't, however I do like hearing more good news than bad.
Life is what we make it, isn't it? Make Sunday your Funday.... Find the ways to make like happier and share it, spread it... And Tell Me Something Good.....
